Elite Dominates Fall Sprints, Taking Top 5 Places!!
The Elite Team of drivers dominated the Fall Sprints at
Blackhawk Farms. On grid, Elite had the entire first 3
rows and all the top 5 finishing drivers were Elite drivers, and
three of those were in rental cars!!! Congratulations to
Rick Bartuska, Car 01,
who took pole and literally drove away to the finish. It was his
second time in an Elite rental car. (Note: his first foray with
Elite earned him a second place.) Also on the podium were
Bill Douglas, Car 7, 2nd
and Alan Andrea, Car 04,
3rd. While Alan did run the June Sprints this
year, he has been out of an SRF for several years and it's clear he didn't lose a step. Rounding out the
top 5, David Shapiro, Car 02, 4th
and Dale Brown, Car 21, 5th.
David earned his
fastest time ever, a 1:19.895 and posted the second fastest time
in the race, coming in second to
Rick with an 1:19.732. (Makes you want to
rent a race car, doesn't it?)
