Marinangel Wins, Assisted Drivers Place Well at IRP
Round 7 of the National Points chase was held at Indianapolis
Raceway Park. It was one of the oddest races so far. A crumbling
track surface lead to a single file start and a "single lane,
no passing zone" in turn one. Turn one (was) one of the
best spots for passing. As noted, Jim Marinangel, Car 5,
had the lead, start to finish, Brent Waltz, Car 11, 2nd; David
Watson, Car 83, 4th; Jeffrey Barrow, Car 06, 6th; and Becky
Bach, Car 22, 7th.
