Elite Dominates Field at Firecracker-Douglas Gets Close Win in Race 1
Douglas Wins Race 2 as Well! If you weren't an Elite Team member during the Firecracker,
you were lonely! Only 2 SRFs were not part of the team! The first
race was a bit wild and wooly and in the end Bill
Douglas, Car 7, just barely inched out Jim
Ferro, Car 37, for the victory. The margin of victory
was 0.141...that's close! Even people near the start/finish
were not sure who won! Elite drivers swept the podium and the
top 6 spots! Congratulations to Larry
Fuerst, Car 01, 3rd; David Shapiro, Car 02, 4th; Keith
Conroy, Car 35, 5th; Fred Sasser, Car 77, 6th; Lance
Mussler, Car 24, 9th; Daryl Adams, Car 16, 10th; Theresa
Ziemer, Car 3, 11th; Mike Canfield, Car 9,
12th and Mike McCann, Car 38, 13th. It was nice to have
Larry back in racing...don't
you hate it when work interferes with racing? And we welcome
Daryl Adams in Car 16 to the
Elite Team.... a top 10 finish is not a bad start.
Finally, Race 2 Results and Elite sweeps the top four spots with Bill
Douglas, Car 7, winning again. Aren't you bored with winning all the
time, Bill? Jim Ferro, Car 37, 2nd, David Shapiro, Car
02, 3rd and Larry Fuerst, Car 01, 4th.
