 Double Winners: Douglas Wins at BlackHawk and Bradley Wins at Grattan

If you can see your breath, we must be racing. That's what is was like on Saturday at both BlackHawk and Grattan. Fortunately, Sunday was much nicer. The good news is that even thought the weather was less than great, Elite drivers won in two different Regionals -- Bill Douglas Car 7, at BlackHawk and Joe Bradley Car 92 at Grattan. Congratulations!!!! Bill also took the pole in that race and lead start to finish...although the finish ended up being pretty close--with only a 0.116 margin of victory.

In addition to Bill Douglas' win, other Elite drivers finishing well at the First BlackHawk Regional were Mike McCann Car 38, 3rd; Jim Ferro Car 37, 4th; Doug Farrar Car 84, 5th; Keith Conroy Car 35, 10th; Mel Boldt Car 8, 14th; Ruben Garcia Car 3, 15th and Larry Farrar Car 80, 16th.

And, showing that nice guys don't always finish last, the Second Regional Race was won by Dave Watson Car 83. Dave's not an Elite driver, but he's an icon around the track. Elite drivers Mike McCann Car 38 and Jim Ferro Car 37, rounded out the podium. Other Elite drivers finishing well include: Bill Douglas Car 7, 5th; Keith Conroy Car 35, 11th; Steve Horne Car 19, 12th, Ruben Garcia Car 3, 14th and Mel Boldt Car 8, 15th.

Did you catch Ruben's new wheels?? No, not his car, his new golf cart. The web mistress is guessing that Ruben's going to very popular at the next Road America race.

The LOL Regional races were supposed to be on Saturday and Monday, with two sprint races on that Sunday. Well, several schedule changes later, that first sprint race was on Sunday morning and the Regional race moved to Sunday afternoon. Most drivers left before the last Sprint race, so ...we just included the first  First BlackHawk Sprint Race results.
