A beautiful, sunny weekend allowed for some fast qualifying and race times. Jim Marinangel had the pole with a time of 1:21.015.  Of course, second and third were only 0.024 and 0.044 behind him. In fact, between 1st and 13th, there was only a second difference. Many Elite drivers qualified with personal best times. Kudos for such a competitive field. 

The race was very exciting, with passing up and down the field. About midway through the race, Alan Andrea Car 15 passed Jim Marinangel Car 5 for the lead. It was a tight battle, for a short time until Marinangel experienced technical difficulties. However, second and third place wasted no time getting close to the leader. Andrea drove smart and ended up with the win. Congratulations!!
